Join us in Stockholm for the 13th ISWA Beacon Conference on Waste-to-Energy, a pivotal event bringing together leading experts and innovators to discuss the future of waste management and energy recovery. This conference is organized by Avfall Sverige, ISWA and CEWEP., in cooperation with the Swedish Energy Agency.
The conference will examine the role of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) in the transition towards sustainable waste management and resilient energy systems, with a particular focus on international perspectives and the challenges associated with plastic waste.
Discussions will explore global policy developments, market trends, and the evolving role of WtE in supporting climate and circular economy objectives. Special attention will be given to the management of plastic waste, its contribution to energy recovery, and its implications for carbon emissions, recycling targets, and resource efficiency.
The event will conclude with study visits showcasing Swedish energy recovery and waste management systems.
